Killer of five women arrested

A 45-year old man who admitted the killing of five women was arrested last Saturday in El Jadida as he just left the house of his last victim.

Neighbors of the woman who heard her screams called the police and surrounded the house. When the killer saw he was trapped, he tried to commit suicide by stabbing himself with the same knife used to kill the woman.

He admitted that he murdered the 60-year old woman to steal her meager possessions.

The unemployed man admitted having killed since 1993 five women, including a mother and her daughter. The police also arrested a woman for non-denunciation of murder attempt, having herself escaped a killing attempt but she did not report to the police.
