Reconciliation efforts among the Lebanese leaders

Well-informed Lebanese sources told the London- based al-Hayat daily on Thursday that purifying the atmospheres between the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud, the speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri and the Prime minister Rafik al-Hariri require the completion of dialogue meetings among them so as to establishing the basics of the relations between the various constitutional establishments.

The same sources expected that the Syrian vice- president will continue his role in bringing together view points between the three leaders at a lunch held at the invitation on Sunday by Khaddam at the Syrian city of Banias after their participation in the first anniversary of the death of the late Syrian President Hafez al-Assad in al- Qurdaha in the same day.

The three Lebanese leaders will be meeting with President Bashar al-Assad on the sideline of this occasion before they will be host at the lunch of the Syrian vice president, which will be held in the presence of the commander of the security and reconnaissance department of the Syrian forces working in Lebanon Lt. Gen Ghazi Kanaan.
