Libya signs cooperation agreement with Portugal

The secretary of the general people's committee for foreign contacts and international co-operation in Libya Abdul Rahman Shalqam and the Portuguese minister of state for foreign affairs on Wednesday evening in Tripoli signed a a memorandum of understanding on an agreement to maintain consultations between the two sides.
The two sides expressed their conviction that open and frank dialogue will contribute to improving mutual understanding and encourages more rapprochement and consolidation of Libyan- Portuguese relations.
The two sides agreed to hold annual consultations on various bilateral and international issues of mutual concern and to urge two permanent missions at the UN and other UN organizations, whenever it is necessary, to exchange all useful information on debated matters.
