Palestinian cause: solidarity march in Casablanca sunday

A march of solidarity will be staged next Sunday in Casablanca to show support to the Palestinian people's cause.

The march is organized by the local committee of the Moroccan association of support to the Palestinian people's struggle, which had said in a statement that "the march is staged to show solidarity with the Palestinian people, prey to the extermination war, waged by the Zionists using internationally-banned lethal weapons."

The committee called for an immediate international protection of the Palestinian people and for backing to their right to return to their homeland and to establish an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.

Chairman of the Moroccan association of support to the Palestinian struggle, Khalid Sefiani, told Moroccan TV channel "2M" Wednesday that the march is meant "not only to express our feelings but is also a means of awareness fostering and a message to the international public opinion and to Zionist leaders."

Several Moroccan political parties and trade unions have lately organized rallies of solidarity and support to the Palestinian cause and the Al-Aqsa intifadah, stressing "the need to carry on backing to the Palestinians in their legitimate struggle against the Israeli war machine."
