Arab League opens door for popular donations to Intifada

Arab League Chief Amr Moussa said a bank account was opened to receive donations from people in support of the Palestinian Intifada.
"The Bank account is number 444 at the Arab Bank, Mohandeseen Branch. The money will be channeled directly to the Palestinian Authority and not through the Arab League", he said after his meeting with the permanent delegates to the Arab League in the first monthly meeting of the kind.
The Arab summit resolutions are clear on providing political and financial support to the Palestinians, and this is what the Arab League is doing, he said.
Tuesday meeting dealt with the developments in the I Palestinian territories and the preparations for September Arab League Council, to be held at the ministerial level, he said.
