Egypt, Jordan sign new cooperation agreements

Egypt and Jordan crowned their two-day joint higher committee meetings with signing nine cooperation agreements in all fields.
The agreements included the inking of memos of understanding in the fields of housing, utilities, urban communities, social development, communications, information, standardization, specifications, sanctities, Islamic affairs and atomic energy.
They also comprised an executive protocol in the fields of tourism and a memo of understanding to operate tourist journeys between Jordanian Aqaba and Egyptian Taba.
In his speech delivered at the closing session, Ebeid said that the meetings were devoted to seek the good of the two peoples and to achieve more development in implementation of the directives of President Hosni Mubarak and King Abdullah II to open new vistas of bilateral relations. Ebeid said that the meetings mirrored full-fledged contentment that the role of the state would remain strong to regulate work and encourage the national capital and private sector.
On his part, Abul Ragheb expressed satisfaction at the outcome reached and the keenness to upgrade the level of cooperation up to both leaderships' ambitions.
