Algerian plan to revive the Sahara desert case

The Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika tomorrow starts a work visit to internal cities in the southern part of Algeria with the aim to declare a national program on development including the completion of several already obstructed major projects like road construction and water and electricity supplies.
Through its set projects to develop the southern region areas, the Algerian government seeks to ensure conditions for attracting local and foreign investments alike.
Sources at the Algerian presidency said that Butaflika's tour will cover the provinces of al-Aghwat, Gherdayah during which a program to develop the Algerian south and the Greater Sahara ( al-Sahraa al-Kubra) will be declared at a value of 20 billion Algerian dinars. The development program will cover 13 provinces.
