Qaddafi messages to Indian, Pakistani leaders
Libya-Regional, Politics, 6/6/2001

Libyan President Muaammar al-Qaddafi has said that the acceptance of the chairman of the executive authority in Pakistan B. Musharraf of the invitation extended to him by the Indian prime minister to visit India is but a realistic and brave step at the time of globalization and the inevitability of merging the countries of the Indian Ocean into one space.

In two messages he addressed on Tuesday to both the Prime ministers of the two said countries, al-Qaddafi said that this initiative ( the invitation) is an expression of the sincere desire to close the file of the past and an objective and realistic reading of the successive international changes.

In his two messages, al-Qaddafi expressed his appreciation to the relation linking Libya to both India and Pakistan, stressing his country's total support to any effort aiming at fostering relations between India and Pakistan.
