June 1st proclaimed Maghreban Mothers day

The second meeting of the Maghreban association of mothers, held over the week in Casablanca has decided to proclaim June 1st as the Maghreban mothers day. Participants also decided to compile a data bank on mothers and children in the region and post it on the web.
Other decisions include a message to the UN secretary general expressing solidarity with Palestinian mothers and the fixture of their upcoming meetings (2002 in Libya, 2003 in Algeria, 2004 in Mauritanian and the congress in 2005 in Tunisia.
Held by the Moroccan mothers association and the national union of Moroccan women, the conference was held on "mothers at the service of family and society.
