Iraq, Politics, 6/4/2001
An Iraqi weekly said on Sunday that Iraq has decided to appoint the foreign ministry secretary Nizar Hamdoun as a new ambassador for Iraq to Austria in succession to Naji Sabri al-Hadeithi who at the meantime occupies the post of the minister of state for foreign affairs.
Worthy mentioning that Hamdoun is a diplomat who occupied the post of Iraq's ambassador in Washington during the 1980 s and he also had the post of Iraq's permanent representative at the UN in New York before he returned back to Baghdad.
Al-Hadeithi who was appointed in April this year as a minister of state for foreign affairs occupied the post of Iraq's ambassador to Austria and Iraq's representative at the International Agency for Atomic energy.
