The pan conference on Sudanese reconciliation; relation with Egypt special
Egypt-Sudan, Politics, 6/4/2001

The Sudanese ambassador in Cairo Abdul Halim said that the committee of the joint Libyan- Egyptian joint initiative has prepared a plan for the pan conference and this plan will be submitted for the Sudanese government later.

In a press conference held in Cairo, the Sudanese ambassador stressed the development of bilateral relations between Egypt and Sudan, noting that these relations have been witnessing a special turning point especially following the developments of relations between the two states after the Sharm al-Sheikh summit and the meeting held between the Sudanese and Egyptian presidents and the exchange of visits at the ministerial level between Egypt and Sudan.

He noted that the common and joint political will between the two states was behind such a success.

He added that Sudan is also keen to maintain integration with Egypt rather than normalization so as to protect bilateral relations against adverse consequences.
