An Arab conference against normalization
Regional-Israel, Politics, 6/4/2001
The committee in charge of normalization of the Arab Vocational Trade Union has decided to convene an Arab conference to resist normalization with Israel in Amman this year in collaboration with the anti- normalization committees in the Arab states.
The chairman of the committee engineer Ali Abu Sukkar said that a committee was formed to prepare for convening this conference in Amman with the aim to spread the experience of resisting normalization in Jordan on the Arab states and to benefit from the experience of the anti- normalization conference in the Arab Gulf states which was held twice in Kuwait and attained great success in maintaining non- normalization with Israel at the official and peoples levels.
Abu Sukkar added that the committee extended a message to the secretary general of the people's conference for resisting normalization in the Gulf states which takes Kuwait as a headquarters, noting appreciation over the role played by the anti- normalization committees in the Gulf states and the success realized by the two anti normalization conferences held in Amman in the years 2000 and 2001.
