An Algerian cabinet reshuffle in economic ministries

The Algerian President; Abdul Aziz Butaflika; who relentlessly seeks to end six weeks of violent protests in al-Kabayel areas, has made a Cabinet reshuffle that covered the two ministers of finance and housing with the aim of consolidating economic and living conditions, which were the main reason behind the acts of violence which resulted in killing more than 50 persons and wounding more than 1000 others.
A statement by the Algerian presidency issued on Friday said that the minister of commerce Murad Madlasi was appointed as a minister of finance in succession to Abdul Latif Bin Ashenhu; while Abdul Majid Tabboun; the minister of housing was appointed as a minister of housing instead of Abdul Qader Bunekraf.
This ministerial reshuffle is the most recent attempt to eliminate the acts of violence in the Kabayel ares which is inhabited by the Berbers, went off on April 18 when a young man died upon his arrest in one of the police Barracks.
The Republic's presidency statement that the motive behind this ministerial reshuffle is to seek to invest the potentials of the various ministries and attain top performance of the government.
