Mubarak meeting Weizeman... a newspaper's fake

High-ranking sources slammed reports by Al-Shark Al-Awsat newspaper on Friday in which it claimed that President Hosni Mubarak had met with former Israeli President Ezer Weizeman.
The paper claimed that the former Israeli President offered Mubarak a new initiative to hold a meeting between Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon with Mubarak attending.
In statements to MENA, the sources described the reports as totally baseless and groundless, an Egyptian report said.
Al-Shark Al-Awsat said that Wizeman had met Mubarak and offered him his initiative.
