Moroccan air company to sign four Airbus purchase contract

Moroccan air company "Royal Air Maroc" will sign this month with the European aircraft maker to purchase four airbus planes, during an aeronautic exhibition in Paris this June 16-25.
The announcement was made at a joint statement released at the end of a meeting between French minister of equipment, transports and housing, Jean-Claude Gayssot and Morocco's minister of transports and merchant navy, Abdeslam Znined. The two sides praised RAM's decision to include in its fleet, for the first time, Airbus jets.
The two departments also announced the creation of a "high level task group" dealing with transports and road safety.
The French official who was in Morocco from May 31 through June 1st, also met Morocco's premier, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, interior minister, and minister of territory development, urbanism, housing and environment.
According to the document, France has promised to back Morocco's request to integrate Moroccan air transport in the European Union one.
In the field of sea transports, the two countries hailed the project to set up a surveillance and saving body in the Mediterranean, decided at the 5th session of the joint maritime commission, held early this year.
The two sides also agreed to make up for the small share held by Moroccan goods transporters in the goods transport market, by association, partnership and alliance formulas.
