An Israeli general does not rule out comprehensive war
Regional-Israel, Politics, 6/2/2001
Israeli daily "Haaretz" on Thursday quoted Gen. Yesrael Zev, commander of paratroops, as saying that the possibility of Israel's entering a comprehensive war is not ruled out. The military officer said, " A comprehensive war is not very far ÉWe have to keep our forces quite ready for a comprehensive war, and my duty is also to prepare for that." Zev affirmed that his words must be considered as an expectation of what will happen.
