Washington outs her forces in Alert in the Gulf region

An official at the US defense department on Wednesday said that the US 5th Fleet of the US Navy, positioned in the Arab Gulf was put in a state of utmost alert in response to expected security threats.
The American official, who refused to be identified; added that the decision taken to take tough security measures was not linked to the sentence taken in the court of New York on Tuesday sentencing four of the followers of the Islamist Osama Bin Laden.
