As many as 20,000 Egyptians married to Israeli women

Over twenty years have passed after Camp David Treaty, creating opportunities for the marriage of about 20,000 Egyptians from Israeli women, consequently, a real worry has begun to rise in Egypt.

Voices, politicians, men-of-religion, members of parliament, and those who are anti-normalization have started to rise against such manifestation. But no solutions can be worked out for that. However, many considered this manifestation as constituting a real danger, because a new generation of over 5,000 children has been so far produced that carries loyalty to two cultures, two religions and two countries.

But the state of war between these two countries is officially supposed to be over, while according to the current people's culture, Israel is still enemy no.1 to the Egyptians and to the Arabs.

Israel is so much interested in this, and it established an Israeli academic center in Cairo in 1982, where according to informed sources six Israeli intelligence men successively chaired this center. This reflects the importance Israel attaches to penetrating into the Egyptian society.

The center organizes Hebrew language courses along with tourist and cultural travel programs to Israel for Egyptian youths.

Thus, voices have strongly risen demanding the issuance of clear legislation that bans multinational Egyptians from taking over political and military posts, while others demand to withdraw the Egyptian nationality from them. However, there exists a continuous anxiety over the fact that Israel might have recruited some of the multinational Egyptians in its intelligence bodies.
