Syrian ministers discuss cooperation ties with Iran

Cooperation between the governments of Syria and Iran, especially in the fields of regional planning and the restoration of ancient cities were the core of talks held on Tuesday by the Minister of Housing, Husam Safadi, and his Iranian counterpart.

The two sides agreed on presenting a proposal to hold a conference for the Housing Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) member countries. They also agreed to set up a committee of architects to maintain Islamic architecture.

Meanwhile, Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Mohammad Jamal Maher discussed with his Iranian counterpart ways of consolidating Syria-Iranian ties of cooperation and friendship, particularly in the field of oil and mineral resources.

Health Minister Mohammad Eyad al-Shatti discussed with his Iranian counterpart means of enhancing cooperation in this regard. The Iranian Health Minister expressed his country's readiness to contribute to providing hospitals in Syria with all necessary equipment.
