Al-Hariri rules out war in the region
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 5/29/2001
Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri, in remarks to Kuwaiti daily "al-Anbaa," said the Israeli threats against Syria are for local consumption. He noted that he does not see war in the region, even though what is going on now is a war being launched by Sharon against the Palestinians. "Therefore, we have to be cautious," he said.
Al Hariri affirmed: "We, in Lebanon, respect the UN resolutions and we constantly demand to have them implemented. While Israel pays no heed to these resolutions."
