Tartous is well-qualified to launch developed tourist industry

Tartous Governor Mr. Aram Saliba has said to Lebanese daily "al-Sharq" that a developed tourist industry can be set up in the governorate, because of the excellent characteristics that Tartous enjoys. He added that Arwad Island comes at the top of the tourist sites in the world. Saliba noted that Tartous is characterized by being an agricultural governorate in the first place, and it has a charming nature. It has a 90 km-long sand beach on the Mediterranean and has magnificent mountainous nature, in addition to archaeological sites.
