Yemeni-Moroccan talks in Sanaa

Moroccan minister of economic forecasts and planning, Abdelhamid Aouad, conferred in Sanaa Monday with Yemeni foreign minister, Abou Bakr Al-Kourbi, on means to enhance bilateral cooperation in all areas.

Aouad is visiting Yemen to take part in the 4th session of the Moroccan-Yemeni joint commission, currently convening here.

The session is examining economic, scientific and technical cooperation between the two states, as well as projects related to air transport, electric power, water, housing, tourism, trade exchanges, health, education and culture.

It will also assess progress made in the implementation of programs agreed upon at the commission previous sessions.

The commission held its first session in 1992, date of its creation, in Rabat. The second and third sessions were held in 1996 in Sanaa and in 1999 in Rabat.

Some 27 conventions and protocols were signed during the commission previous sessions.
