Mubarak to address G-15 Summit in Indonesia

President Mubarak will address a message to the G-15 Summit which will open in Indonesia on Wednesday. The message will be read out by Prime Minister Atef Ebeid who will preside over Egypt's delegation to the summit.
In his message Mubarak will underline the importance of maintaining security and stability for development and the steps taken by Egypt for encouraging investment and cooperation among capital markets.
Egypt will present the summit with new projects for cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, petrochemicals, gas and information.
Prime Minister Ebeid left for Jakarta, Indonesia, leading the country's delegation to the 11th Summit of the G-15, slated for Wednesday.
In pre-departure statements, Ebeid said Egypt would table during the two-day summit an initiative on the establishment of an information network in the field of information technology grouping the developing countries an G-15 members.
The G-15 countries began loading database on imports and exports, he said, highlighting a desire to connect these local networks together and forge a mechanism of cooperation between them on one hand and businessmen and institutions operating in the field of information transfer on the other.
"The Jakarta summit would help reach agreement on infrastructure projects for the G-15 countries that are needed to promote trade exchange," added Ebeid.
On his meeting with Arab Fund for Development Chief Abdellatif Al-Hamd, the premier said they reviewed finance programmes offered by the fund to development funds to back investment projects in Egypt.
The summit will be preceded by a meeting of the heads of delegations at an Indonesian resort to discuss the issues on the summit's agenda.
On Monday, the G-15 foreign ministers will hold a preparatory meeting to word the draft communique of the summit and the draft Jakarta declaration on technologies and communications.
