Al-Shara back home from OIC meeting

Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara was back home on Sunday, from Doha. He participated in an emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).
Al-Shara urged Arab and Islamic states to comply by the meeting's stands and recommendations.
Syria played an important role in supporting the Palestinian Intifada by all means available and halting all political contacts with Israel.
The OIC confirmed total support for Syria and Lebanon in confronting continued Israeli threats. The conferees called on all member states to firmly support Syria and Lebanon against any Israeli acts of aggression.
