Kharazi calls for improving relations with Egypt
Egypt-Iran, Politics, 5/28/2001
The Iranian foreign minister Kamal Kharazi on Saturday called for improving relations with Egypt.
On the sideline of the Islamic conference which was held in Doha he said "we have to move forward. There is a good cooperation recently maintained between the two countries at UN organisations."
When Kharazzi was asked if the Iranian foreign ministry will agree to change the name of al-Islambuli street in Tehran; he said "this depends on the negotiations," adding that "asking Egypt to change the name of street in Cairo honouring the Shah of Iran Muhammad Rida Bahlawi is a minor issue."
