A Polish business delegation is expected next Thursday in Casablanca in a mission to prospect trade partners and joint ventures. Some 13 Polish firms will be represented in the mission, covering the sectors of ship-building, machinery, equipment and other industrial fields.
Sources at the Polish embassy in Morocco say Poland's exports to Morocco were worth in 2000 45.6 million DH while imports totaled 59.3 million DH. Moroccan exports are dominated by phosphates while imports consist of some 150 sorts of spare parts.
Polish prime minister visited Morocco early this month and several bilateral agreements, mainly an agreement on cooperation in environment, tourism and mining research, were signed. The two countries are also bound by a sea transport accord, signed in May 1999.
