Moroccan-Portuguese parliamentary cooperation discussed in Rabat

Moroccan-Portuguese parliamentary cooperation was discussed at meetings held here Thursday between visiting speaker of the Portuguese parliament, Almeda Santos and speakers of the two chambers of the Moroccan parliament.
The two sides called for the consolidation of parliamentary cooperation and raise it to the level of the dynamic and excellent bilateral relations.
Almeda Santos and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the Moroccan parliamentary system and regionalization experience that promoted a new local democracy concept.
The Portuguese delegation, representing various parliamentary groups, hailed the political and economic reforms initiated by Morocco.
The two sides convened to carry on dialogue between the two legislative institutions on regular bases and to trade experience.
