UNDOF mission extended in the Golan

The UN secretary general Kofi Annan on Tuesday recommended to extend six months until November 30, for the UN observers Forces in the occupied Syrian Golan heights UNDOF.
AFP quoted Annan as saying in a report he issued on Tuesday in New York that it is necessary to continue the mission of UNDOF in the Golan and asked the UN Security Council to extend its mission which expires in the midnight of May 31 ( this month), SANA reported.
