Qatari gas for Kuwait and Bahrain

The Qatari minister of oil Abdullah Bin Hamad al-Ateyah has stated that the negotiations Qatar is making with both Kuwait and Bahrain to provide them with Gas in the framework of Dolphin project, recorded a progress. He added that Doha will provide Kuwaiti with 30 million cubic meters of gas daily within the course of a possible agreement to this end.
In statements issued on Monday in the Qatari dailies to this effect, al-Ateyah added that a progress is attained in the negotiations and that the volume of the expected spending set of 25 years with Kuwait, is 30 million cubic meters every day, adding that the volume of the agreement with Bahrain has not set yet.
Worthy mentioning that Dolphin project which constitutes the first phase of a project for the gas pipe networking is expected to later reach Oman and maybe Pakistan and India, stated to produce gas from two complexes in an gas field in the huge sea part of Qatar and erecting gas pipe lines of 350 Km length, linking between the treatment unit in Raas Laffan in Qatar and the stations of al-Tawila, ( in Abu Dhabi) and Jabal Ali in ( Dubai). The sea oil pipeline is expected to transport 180 million cubic meters.
Qatar occupied the third position, after Russia and Iran in gas reserves it owns, estimated at 13,000 billion cubic meters.
