Death penalty for 19 Qatari convicted in failed coup

The court of Cassation has convicted to death 19 of the persons who were found guilty in the case of the failed coup took place in Qatar in 1996. The Qatari news agency said that the said court chaired by judge Mubarak Bin Khaleifa al-Oseiri, the chairman of the justice courts also sentenced life imprisonment for 26 persons and found other 18 as non- guilty.
