Zimbabwean Woman Gives Birth to Child in Casablanca-Montreal Flight

A Zimbabwean woman travelling Saturday on a Casablanca-Montreal flight gave birth to a boy, in almost-ideal conditions as the plane also carried a Moroccan medical mission.
Three hours after the plane took off from Casablanca, Mrs Sheilla Lungu felt the labor was starting and was soon rushed by the crew to the back of the plane where she gave birth to her sixth child, a boy that the father named Mohamed.
The delivery that lasted half an hour was supervised by a medical team and a professional nurse.
The couple had spent the night in Casablanca coming from Bamako (Mali) on their way to New York.
