Speaker of Hungarian Parliament Ends Visit to Morocco

Speaker of the Hungarian parliament, Oser Janos Ader, left Morocco Sunday at the end of a few-day visit during which he held talks with Moroccan officials and members of parliament on means to enhance cooperation between the two countries. The Speaker of the Hungarian parliament had conferred with Moroccan Premier, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, on the coming phases of negotiations with the European Union on Hungary's integration in the Union. These negotiations are to wind up in 2002.

Talks also covered the latest developments of Morocco's territorial integrity and Euro-Mediterranean relations.

During the visit, the first of the kind in an Arab state, Oser Janos Ader, also conferred with the speakers of the two chambers of the Moroccan parliament.

The Hungarian Parliament speaker voiced his country's resolve to promote cooperation with Morocco, which has a privileged position in the Mediterranean, and called Moroccan businessmen to tap the Hungarian market which offers interesting opportunities.
