Israel continues its attacks, more victims reported

The Israeli attacks against the Palestinians continued on Sunday resulting in more casualties, while the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon threatened to use all the Israeli military arsenal to eliminate the Intifada, at a time when the Palestinian Authority started a large- scale diplomatic campaign demanding international protection for the Palestinians.
Detailed news reports said that the Israeli gun-ship bombarded on Sunday a position for the Palestinian naval force in al-Soudaneyah to the north of Gaza, while the Israeli forces broke into Rafah and opened fires of its tanks at Palestinian houses to the south of the city. Six Palestinians were hit by the Israeli soldiers bullets during confrontation in al-Beera.
Three Palestinians were wounded as a result of the Israeli bombardment by heavy artillery and machine- guns of Palestinian citizens houses in al-Beera, Ramullah district.
Palestinian sources stressed that three shells launched by an Israeli tank targeted the house of Col. Jibril al-Rajoub, the chairman of the Palestinian preventive security system in the West Bank resulted in wounding three of his guards and heavy losses were inflicted in the house where Col. Rajjoub was in.
The sources continued that Col. Rajoub was not hit and was taken out of the house but his car was damaged.
Damages were also inflicted in several Palestinian houses in al-Beera as a result of the continued Israeli bombardment at al-Beera on Sunday evening and five Palestinians were wounded as a result of the Israeli bombardment of the Palestinian houses.
