Iran for boosting relations with Kuwait
Kuwait-Iran, Politics, 5/21/2001

The Iranian Vice President Hijatul Islam Muhammad Sadouqi for legal and parliamentary affairs, currently visiting Kuwait, stressed his country's desire to develop its relations with all states, especially the Islamic states, especially the countries of the region.

In statements issued in Tehran on Sunday he said that there are numerous common issues between the countries of the region and that Iran always stresses the unity and independence of the countries of the region and will continue this attitude and non- intervention in the affairs of others.

He indicated that his talks with Kuwait dealt with means of developing bilateral relations and discussing of a proposal to formulate and signing the agreement and get back those who are wanted by the justice system between Iran and Kuwait. He expressed his hope to reach this very agreement very soon and also noted the importance of continued cooperation in the area of drug fighting.
