Al-Bashir statements on African issues

Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir returned back on Sunday to al-Khartoum after he took part in the conference to settle inter- African disputes which conclude its deliberations on Saturday in Lomy, capital of the Republic of Togo.
In statements he made the Sudanese President explained that the summit commended the efforts resulted in ceasing the war between Eritrea and Ethiopia as well as the positive developments in Somalia which contributed to finding out central authorities and systems.
He added that the summit dealt with disputes in al-Buheirat ( lakes) areas especially in Congo and Burundi. He praised the positive results concerning the implementation of Lusaka agreement and tackled the problems existed at the meantime at the basin of Mano river between Libya, Sera Leone and Genea, the situation in Comoros. He continued that the summit also commended the reconciliation made in the Ivory Coast and the restoration of diplomatic relations between Sudan and Uganda.
Al-Bashir stressed that Sudan, during this summit, gave a proposal according to which coordination will be made between the Organization of African Unity , the Arab League and the organization of the Islamic Conference concerning Comoros and that Sudan will be a member in this committee to contribute to coordinating the efforts.
