Poland appreciates the role of President Mubarak

Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski announced that Poland appreciates the significant role played by Egypt, and the personal commitment of President Mubarak with the aim of realizing peace.

In an interview with the Chief Editor of AL Ahram, the Polish President said: "I hope that President Mubarak would visit Poland soon. We've discussed this matter several times".

President kwasniewski added that the relations between Egypt and Poland are historical and deep-rooted, but they need a new start.

The visit of President Mubarak to Poland would represent a significant contribution to the bilateral relations.

The Polish President stressed the importance of increasing the economic cooperation between the two countries.

He pointed that 85,000 Polish tourists have proceeded to Egypt during last year.

He said that both Egypt and Poland are compatible from the political point of view.

He voiced his personal support to the Middle East peace process, and called upon all parties to abandon violence and restart negotiations with the aim of achieving peace.
