Al-Assad heads to Egypt

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak will meet Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Sharm EL Sheikh today.
The two leaders will review the current event's in the region, peace process, Egyptian -Jordanian initiative designed to end violence, and the Egyptian -Syrian relations.
Meanwhile, Presidential Political Adviser Osama al-Baz Tuesday lauded the depth of the time-honored ties between Egypt and Syria.
In statements to Syrian News Agency, Baz stressed that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's visit to Egypt on Wednesday comes at a time that requires a strong Arab stance in face of Israeli arrogance and its refusal to abide by international resolutions.
He expressed importance of Egyptian -Syrian coordination out of commitment to regain the occupied Arab territories in Golan Heights, Jerusalem as well as the occupied Lebanese territories.
Mustafa al-Feqi, Assistant Secretary of the People's Assembly Foreign Relations Committee, termed as "important" the timing of Assad's visit to Egypt, underlining the importance of backing the Intifada until all Palestinian rights are regained and occupied Arab territories iberated.
