Israel threatens Syria
Syria-Israel, Politics, 5/16/2001
The Israeli defense minister Benjamin Bin Aleazer on Tuesday warned Syria against a new bombardment of Israeli positions from South Lebanon.
Bin Aleazer told the Israeli army radio that he is hopeful that the Syrian officials will think of all that is taking place in Lebanon.
The Israeli statements made these statements on the wake of launching anti missiles shells at an Israeli position at Shebaa farms which are still occupied by Israel and the adoption of the Lebanese Shiite Hizbullah party of this bombardment, which resulted in a retaliation act by the Israeli artillery aimed at villages adjoining the Shebaa farms.
