Egyptian Fatwa bans miss beauty parties

The Mufti of the Egyptian Deyar Sheikh Naser Fareed Wasel has announced that the competitions of selecting " Miss beauty" are legally banned and a violation to the jurisprudence of the Islamic Sharia because of appearance of competing women before the arbitration committees of men and the mass media almost naked.
Al-Mufti added replying to an inquiry on the "Miss beauty" competitions that Islam is the religion of purity and that it makes it imperative on women to cover all her body except the face and the palms.
