Mubarak confers with Arafat

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Tuesday in Cairo met with the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat at Sharm al-Sheikh resort on the Red Sea.
The meeting was attended by the Egyptian prime minister Atef Obeid, the foreign minister Ahmad Maher, the Palestinian official for planning and international co-operation affairs Nabil Shaath and Arafat's advisor Nabil Abu Rudinah.
