Lahoud stressed inter-Arab economic cooperation

Lebanese President Emil lahoud has underlined the importance of Arab solidarity among the Arab states and affiliated economic establishments, noting that there is an Arab responsibility to help Lebanon break the economic siege imposed on it as part of the pressure made on it to weaken its immunity in confrontation of Israel.
This was expressed during the meeting the Lebanese President held with the delegation representing the 7th investment conference and the Arab capital which concluded its works in Beirut, with the participation of 600 high ranking Arab officials and experts. The conference is organized by the economic and work group in collaboration with the Lebanese central bank and the International Financial establishment.
The Lebanese prime minister Rafik al- Hariri stressed in a meeting with the participants in a conference on Arab cooperation, regional conditions, changes on the Lebanese economy, rate exchange, local and foreign debts that there is a political will to found the common Arab market, but the means are not available.
He added that the solution can be attained through regular meetings that adopt decisions taking into account each Arab state's needs.
