Cooperation between Egypt, Sudan

The Sudanese minister of information and official spokesman for the Sudanese government Ghazi Salah Eddine has announced that the Sharm al-Sheikh Summit between Presidents Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and Omar Hassan al-Bashir on Sunday attained their expected goals, noting that integration has been attained between the two sides in several areas of joint co-operation between the two sisterly countries.
In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am issued on Monday, Salah Eddine described that talks held at the level of ministers between the Egyptian and Sudanese delegations as characterized by transparency and concentrated on the political and economic tracks.
On the other hand, well-informed Sudanese sources in a statement issued by the paper, unveiled that the Egyptian- Sudanese summit discussed the question of "Halayeb triangle " between the two countries and resulted in the agreement of the two presidents to draw new mechanism to implement their former agreement to convert the area into an area of integration between the two countries and to solve obstacles impeding the realization of this objective.
