Palestine-Israel, Politics, 5/14/2001

Israeli attacks continued on Sunday against the Palestinian people, coincided with more breaking in operations, oppressive acts and detention campaigns, while Israeli officials renewed their threats to continue their military escalation.

The Palestinian authority stressed that Israel is launching a genocide war against the unarmed Palestinian people.

The Israeli army on Sunday incurred more than 150 meters into Rafah near the border with Egypt and demolished one house.

A Palestinian security source stressed that several bulldozers escorted by tanks and armed vehicles incurred al-Salaam quarters in rafah and incurred in the territories of the Palestinian Authority more than 150 meters amid intensive fire from the Israeli heavy artillery.

The source added that the Israeli army demolished a house owned by the Palestinian citizen Ahmad Hamdan al-Shaer, sheltering nine persons.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested 7 citizens from Taqou' village and another one from Astya and five from Toulkarem under charges of attacking Israeli objectives.
