Al-Assad, Mubarak's summit in Cairo on Thursday

The Egyptian daily al-Joumhoreyah said that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will hold a summit meeting on Thursday.
The paper added that the two Presidents will discuss the peace crisis in light of the Israeli practices against the Palestinians and will discuss the proposal made by Yasser Arafat to convene a summit in Sharm al- Sheikh to study the Mitchell Committee report especially for the process of halting settlements and ensuring international protection for the Palestinians.
Al-Joumhoreyah said that Presidents al-Assad and Mubarak will review bilateral relations and inter- Arab relations in various political, economic, social and economic fields.
