Football: Egypt spies on Moroccan pros
Egypt-Morocco, Sports, 5/12/2001
Egypt's manager, Mahmoud Al-Gouhari, has entrusted his technical assistants to spy on Morocco's pros, based in Europe.
According to Egyptian press reports, Al-Gouhari wants to have a clear idea on these players who form the backbone of the Moroccan team that Egypt will meet next June 30 in a decisive qualifier match for the 2002 World Cup.
The manager was quoted as saying that the Morocco match is now his "sole concern."
Morocco, that had tied 0-0 with Egypt in the first leg match in Cairo, is currently leading Group C with 12 points ahead of Egypt and Senegal with 9 points.
The Showdowns between Morocco and Egypt have always ended in the Atlas Lions' favor. The Egyptians always make of such matches an insurmountable psychological hill.
