Moussa wants to reform Arab League

Egyptian foreign minister, Amr Moussa, called Thursday for reforming the Arab League to make of it "a genuine regional organization."
The League has important bodies, including the human rights and disarmament committees, but these bodies remain a formal ones, Moussa, who readies to take up the post of AL secretary general, told the Moroccan TV channel TVM.
Moussa said he intends to ensure the restructuring of the League, when he will take up the post in replacement of another Egyptian, Esmat Abdelmeguid.
The league will adopt a new approach and will see to the respect of schedules and commitments, especially the holding of an annual Arab summit, he said.
