Yemen-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 5/12/2001
It was announced in Sanaa that the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz will visit Yemen on May 21 to take part in Yemen's celebrations of its 11th national day, the anniversary of the unification of Yemen and the foundation of the Yemeni Republic on May 22, 1990.
The Saudi crown prince will head a large high ranking Saudi delegation including several princes, cabinet ministers and officials and will attend the huge celebration which will be held in Aden.
During this visit, the Saudi crown prince will hold with the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh talks and will exchange with him order of merits on the first anniversary of signing the land and sea international border treaty in Jeddah on June 12, 2000. A treaty which set the foundation for boosting fraternal relations between the two countries.
However, the visit of the Saudi crown prince to Yemen comes amid the great positive changes Saudi- Yemeni relations are witnessing in all fields and just few days before the first anniversary of signing this treaty.
