The US administration and Syria and Lebanon

An Arab Gulf diplomatic source in Washington said in a telephone call with the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah from London on Thursday that a strong trend has emerged in the US administration on Thursday towards releasing a statement holding both Syria and Lebanon the responsibility for escalating the armed conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
The source added that the US condemnation statement for both Syria and Lebanon which is expected to be released today or tomorrow is the last chapter of the moral support for the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon in order to proceed his military plans against the Syrians and the Lebanese.
