Arab states, member of Mediterranean forum, hold side meeting

The Foreign ministers of the Arab states, member of the Mediterranean forum, held a side meeting Thursday evening in the Moroccan northern city of Tangier on the sidelines of the 8th session of the Mediterranean forum.
The foreign ministers of Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia discussed the follow-up mechanisms of the Agadir Declaration setting up a free trade area between Arab Mediterranean countries that was signed Tuesday in Morocco.
They also debated ways of enhancing cooperation between the Arab states and consequently consolidate their stand in negotiations with their European partner, Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, told reporters after the meeting.
The Mediterranean forum, made up of Algeria, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey, is holding its 8th session in the Moroccan northern city of Tangier this May 10-11 to debate the situation in the Middle East, security in the Mediterranean and regional integration.
