Iraqi president urges local pharmaceutical production

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has received Minister of Industry and Minerals Adnan Abdul Majeed, Minister of Health Omeid Medhat Mubarak and a number of researchers and specialists in pharmacy and drug manufacture. "The meeting studied the situation of drug manufacturing and the efforts exerted to promote it to meet the needs of the local markets to face up to the circumstances of the unjust embargo. The possibility of activating the private sector to perform its role in developing the drug manufacturing was also discussed at the meeting," INA reported on Wednesday.
